This is Xanthe's writing about our newest butterfly friend. 

We had two butterflies when we came in this moring - EXCITING!

First we had a tiny little egg

Out hatched a tiny caterpillar. 

It ate all the swan plant leaves and grew big and fat!

It made itself into a J

Then wriggled until it was a chrysalis

The chrysalis turned black...

Then out came a beautiful Monarch Butterfly
